What is the B1 SELT test actually like?
GESE Grade 5 is spoken only — no reading or writing paper. It is about ten minutes with an examiner: a topic you have prepared and a conversation on two subjects the examiner picks. The course rehearses both halves until the format holds no surprises.
Can I do the speaking practice on my own?
Yes. The AI speaking practice listens, responds and gives you feedback, any hour of the day. It is the part of this course that does not exist anywhere else at this level. A tutor is available on the guided option if you want a person too.
Do you book the test for me?
On the self-study course, no — you book with the test centre directly, and the test fee is separate. On the guided course the exam fee is included and we help you book. We do not run the test ourselves.
Which test do I need, and what happens after?
We cannot advise on that, and we do not — nobody at the college is permitted to give immigration advice. The rules on which test is needed for what are set by the Home Office, and if you are unsure, a regulated immigration adviser or solicitor is the person to ask. We teach the test. That is the whole of what we do.
